What are OSURLs ?

OSURLs for OpenSim URLs are used to define a specific location in a given region and in a given OpenSim grid and, like SLURLs, allow to simply click on them to teleport to this location using OpenSim Launcher

How it works ?

For example, the OSURL for the Faelwen region on the New World Grid at the coordinates X=128, Y=130 and Z=50 will be : 

  http://osurl.org/grid.newworldgrid.com:8002/Faelwen/128/130/50

You can also create opensim:// protocol handlers for your websites like : 

  opensim://grid.newworldgrid.com:8002/Faelwen/128/130/50

Anyway, opensim:// links don't work on some wikis, Skype, etc... that's why we created osurl.org with http links. opensim:// links needs the OpenSim Launcher to be installed on your computer to work.
